My Background

I am Sahitya Poonacha a writer and journalist constantly on the lookout for a story. I have written for reputed media houses such as The Hindu and Citizen Matters where I delved into the culture and environment in the city. 

My range of articles covers breaking news stories, features, and interviews. At International Business Times, I gained experience covering local reports, politics, culture, and pop culture amid the global pandemic. I have also edited for platforms like Pepper content as a freelance content editor, during which time I edited articles for Hindustan Times, India Today, ScoopWhoop among other organisations.

Beyond news, I have worked in content development and communications for nonprofits and sustainability platforms. Pursuing my love for all things literature, I am a published poet and dabble in fiction from time to time.
